Hi all! My name is Jonelle Gonsalves and I own a home based bakery/treats business named Snicklefritz Popcorn and Unique Treats (AKA Snicklefritz Treatery) in Bakersfield,Ca. I have over 20 years experience in cooking and baking. I’ve been in business for a while now and I really would like to move into a more traditional setting for this. I’ve been cooking and baking since a very young age and it became my passion (to the point to were I‘ve participated in several competitions like Master Chef, The Taste, local events, etc).
With Snicklefritz we want to make more than just good food and yummy treats! Because we love having a family feeling and we like being supportive and helpful to others around me, we want to stay more community connected. We also would like to donate foods that are not perished to the local shelter (unlike a lot of chain eateries that have workers toss out all food at the end of the night).
We like to buy a lot of our baking/cooking staples and produce from local farmers markets, dairies and butchers in efforts to continue the cycle of supporting other local community businesses. We are also in the middle of our own fresh food garden harvest, that we want to carry over to a lager location. I have a big heart and a matching passion. I love what I do and I do it with joy everyday!
