Best 12 Days Ever!
****PLEASE NOTE: We just received word that the house is Calgary is no longer available:( Although this greatly dissapoints us, we have located a lovely house closer by, which the owner has graciously offered to us for FREE!! It will need some extra love to make it sparkle, but with new windows, and renos to the bathroom and hallway we are hoping to make it just perfect for Sam. This house has a strong stucture, open floor plan and new roof.
All money that we raise will go towards a foundation, septic, water, electricity and gas hookups, as well retrofiting this new house to make it accessible.
Our new fundraising goal is $25,000.
If we are unable to raise the money to complete this project we will use what we have to retrofit Sam's existing house. We are working closely with Randy Still on this project and he is aware of this page, and all funds being raised for this project.

This year our youth service club 'Kids Can Change the World' chose someone in our community that we thought deserved an awesome surprise. 
We wanted to suprise a couple who is known for their hard work, service, and ever cheeful attitudes. As we discussed different possiblities, one couple's name kept coming up. It was a couple who had in so many ways touched our lives. Their names were Sam and Randy.
Sam & Randy Still are the exact type of people who we aspire to be. They spend their lives making a difference in the world by showing kindness every day. It is not something they think about, it is just something they do. When ever there is a need that either one of them can help with, they jump in and help.
Whether it is lending a listening ear, telling a joke, doing on-line genealogical research or digging someone out with a tractor-Sam and Randy are there!!!
Sam and Randy live in a lovely part of the world. Sam has MS, the symptoms of which started showing up when she was a young mother of 2 kids. 
Randy works full-time as a maintance guy at the local hospital (that means if the boiler breaks down at 1:00 in the night Randy is the guy you call) and part-time as a rancher. You would think that would keep him busy enough, but somehow he fits in a ton of service.
Because of Sam's disability there are many things she is not able to enjoy. Her current housing situation does not accomodate her bulky and heavy wheelchair very well. Although it does fit, it is wide and often scrapes the doorways just to get through. The Bathtub isn't wheelchair accessible and the entire house could use some large windows that are her height to make this a lovely place to spend long hours inside every day.
Recently we just found a house that would be perfect for her. It is in a neighboring city and needs to be purchased for 12500 and then moved down. We would love to give this house to them for Christmas!!!
If we are unable to raise enough money for the purchase of this house, or the house becomes unavailable, we will use all money to retrofit their existing house.
Please help us to raise this amount in the next 12 days!!
