"Becoming Paris" Surgery Fund

I have always been very uncomfortable in my body (primarily due to my large chest) making it hard for me to feel motivated to go out, dress up, play sports and to just be myself. In the past year I have made the discovery that these issues and much of what I deal with due to General Anxiety Disorder all comes back to one thing: Gender Identity Disorder. I do not know why it hadn't hit me sooner, but now that I have embraced the fact that I was indeed born in the wrong body, I am beginning to feel more connected to myself. I am currently in the daunting, yet completely thrilling and exciting process of gender re-assignment, and am expecting to have surgery next summer before I leave for college. With money being extremely tight due to many life factors and the already immense cost of therapy and hormone treatment ON TOP of finding some way to pay for college, I am calling on my friends and family to help support me to go through major surgery. Top surgery has been something I have needed for so long, and the time is NOW to get it done with so I can start college without dysphoria and chest binding and begin living my life in a body that I am at peace with.
