In January 2012, a trip to New Zealand changed my life forever.

After a hike up Mt Maunganui in Tauranga (the  most difficult physical task I'd ever done due to spending the majority of my life morbidly obese) I felt reborn. The problem is, during my "rebirth" my father passed away a day later.  A saddening mixture of emotions since I was so far away from him when it happened and I couldn't share my triumph with him. ,

Upon returning to California, I decided the life I was living needed to be changed. For many years my Father pleaded with me to live healthy life and remove the toxic elements, but I ignored his pleas. Once he was gone, it hurt to know I didn't heed his advice so in his honor,  I began with avengence changing my lifestyle and diet into one that was health and fitness focused. During the process, I shared my journey online hoping it was inspire others.

As my tranformational journey continued, I felt compelled to pursue passions I ignored in the past. So I started blogging.

Nothing too serious at first, maybe sharing a story about an album I liked, or a place I visited but a chance encounter during my birthday weekend in Las Vegas changed my approach to blogging (Funny how I have this cathartic moments whenever I leave Los Angeles).

I was encouraged to start blogging about boxing. Yes, boxing. I watched lots of fights growing up, some with my late father, some with my Godparents. Something about the sweet science resonated with me more so than any other sport.  With the rise of social media, I found myself spending a lot of time watching fights and dissecting them with others online until one of those followers, my chance encounter in Vegas, suggested I lend my voice to the industry.

And that's when BadCulture.net was truly born.

Since 2013, BadCulture.net transformed from a hobby site to a true news platform for boxing. I am now credentialed boxing media, picked up on-camera freelance work for BoxingChannel.TV, and contribute opinon pieces to other sports sites. In addition, I now have a team (a contributor and photographer in the Philadelphia area) that add boxing content to the site. Not content to stop there, BadCulture.net's reach has now expanded into MMA courtesy of another contributor in midwest that came joined me because he believed in my vision. Nothing more, nothing less. Without these three individuals, none of this could be possible. These tireless gentlemen help me a great deal and work for nothing all because they believe in me. Very humbling for a person who spent a great deal of their life feeling less than who they were.

From there, I created a blogtalk station (BadCulture Radio Network)  where I host a weekly show on boxing with my Philadelphia based co-host called "The Ruckus".
Our show is rapidly growing as a premier stop for boxing's who's who while our second offering "Punch 2 The Face Radio" is doing the same thing for MMA. I sure would love to get picked up by satellite radio. *wink* *wink*

I've become so passionate about my endeavors that I left the traditonal workforce in December 2012 and  focused full-time on BadCulture.net, the BadCulture Radio Network and my health and fitness journey.

At this time, I am asking for assistance with continuing my journey and growth. I require additional revenue to expand the reach of the site by enlisting professional marketing help and upgrading features to the website to expand my audience as well as attract potential advertisers.

***UPDATE***
I am also developing a new website simultaneously called HOODRUNNER.COM. I am seeking assistance with this new site by way of contributors. visit www.HoodRunner.com for more details.

Any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated. If you cannot help finacially, please visit the site, download the podcasts from iTunes, like the fanpage on Facebook, share the BadCulture.net stories on your social media, and tell a friend about me. Thank you and God bless!
