Ball State Chem Club "Science Day"

Donation protected
The Ball State Chapter of the Student Affiliates of the American Chemical Society (SAACS) provides charitable science outreach services to this community, which we would like to continue. We are in need of your help in order to continue with these services.

Each year, SAACS hosts an event called "Science Day” based on that year’s American Chemical Society’s “Chemists Celebrate Earth Day” theme. This event provides fun, educational, science-related activities to the community, free of charge. This is a fantastic event that gets approximately 800 children and adults in Delaware County and surrounding areas excited about chemistry, physics, biology, and other areas of science!

Unfortunately, we've lost some of our substantial sources of funding for this event and must reach out to the public for donations. We provide materials for the approximately 30 booths, rent for the venue, and shirts and lunch for our volunteers, which, after all possible budget cuts, will cost us $3,300 this year. This year's event will be held on Saturday, April 11th from 8:00am- 2:00pm, location to be determined. We hope that you'll consider helping to fund this event, as it is a great service to our community.
