“Aunty Sue,” as she was affectionately known, was a strong support for her family, immediate and extended. She was the type of person who would answer the phone at 2 AM and be there for you anytime you needed her. Sue was always present at family and friend graduations, baby showers, basketball games, birthdays and other functions. Graceful, kind, and always smiling, she spent her life serving others.
Sue worked over 40 years as a Registered Nurse, mostly at Children’s Comprehensive Medical Group located in Leimert Park where she was also a resident. She truly had a passion for caring and often put others’ needs before her own. Sue cared for her husband without growing weary, or complaining, for several years as he suffered from kidney failure. In addition, while grieving the deaths of her brother, first cousin, and then husband this past year, she dutifully assisted her ailing sister and her recent cancer diagnosis.
Sue was a woman of great faith and loyal member to West Angeles Church of God in Christ. Our comfort is that because she is absent from the body, she is present with the Lord.
Leaving her memory is her only child, Rana. This month, Rana must move her parents belongings out of their home of 30+ years while also covering the costs of her mother’s burial and the debts of her father’s funeral.
Sue was there for so many people, and we need your help to be there for her family. Please consider donating any amount to help Rana and the family during this tragic time. We, as a family, are doing our best to support her and honor Aunty Sue.
