I am a part of the Aerial Dance Professional Training Program at Frequent Flyers in Boulder, CO. This is a fantastic program that is constantly pushing me as a dancer and aerialist. At the end of this 9 month program, I want to emerge as a vibrant aerialist, challenging the barrier between circus and aerial dance, the ground and the air, the clown and the elegance. I want to produce a one woman show that captures the beauty of aerial work, the effervescence of clowning, the emotion of storytelling, and the drama of the digital age.
My primary goal of my budding career is to work with kids. This is what I was doing when I realized that aerial dance is the only path for me, and left the Midwest for intensive training. I love building children’s confidence; watching them grow stronger, smarter, and more daring. Seeing the smiles on their faces at the end of a recital fills me with so much warmth.
As part of this program and to reach my goals, I’m in the studio a minimum of 25 hours a week, but utilize as much open gym time as possible to further hone my skills. I want to continue devoting my time and energy to my training, and that is why I need help. Tuition, studio time, workshop opportunities, and equipment to start my career – none of this is cheap. I'm also raising a 9 year old daughter by myself. The difficulty of finding employment to fit within my training schedule and that still allows me to be an attentive mother (rather than a zombie), combined with a couple unexpected turn of events, is making me frazzled and exhausted. I’ve been picking up as many odd jobs as possible to cover my bills, which sometimes means working/training for 18 hours a day.
Anything you can donate helps me achieve this dream! It provides me with the opportunity to be in the studio every day, to take workshops as they are provided, and to purchase and commission my own aerial equipment to help my career take off when the program is completed.

$6800 total tuition
($737 per month)
$60 per extra private lesson
$5-10 extra classes
$350 personal equipment for final showcase and continuing career
