Hi there!
My name is Alexis Lark Turner, and as the daughter of two long term addicts, college never seemed possible for me. Until Pratt, my dream school, accepted me with a $19,000.00 dollar scholarship. Of the $59,206.00 yearly tuition, I only have $10,879 to make up after federal loans, grants, and scholarships.
Unfortunately, my father passed six months ago from liver failure and my mother has been absent from the picture for years. After my father’s death, I had to pay the funeral costs and for several months I was homeless. I worked hard just to break even. Despite several attempts, I was unsuccessful finding a co-signer for a private loan.
My vision is to become an art teacher and a working professional artist. I have a very short time left to reach my goal. All proceeds will go directly to paying for any fees from Pratt. Any amount helps and will be greatly appreciated!
