'Acts the 3-Man Show' Ministry

Acts the 3-Man Show brings the drama of the book of Acts to life!  It is a powerful and faithful stage adaptation of the New Testament book.  We share the truth of the Gospel through drama with Biblical accuracy and artistic excellence. Check out over 40 pastor and worship leader reviews here.

We need your help to expand this ministry to reach thousands more people with the Gospel through drama. Specific funding needs are listed further below.

Through 'Acts the 3-Man Show' we have the opportunity to evangelize unbelievers through clear, compelling biblical performance and to encourage and equip believers with examples of convicting truth that New Testament characters were real people who endured heroically for Christ and we can too.

Our production company is commited to advancing excellence in the arts within the church, a hallmark of church history that is overlooked in many churches today.

What is 'Acts the 3-Man Show?' For those unfamiliar with the production, 'Acts the 3-Man Show', or A3MS, is an action packed yet intimate drama that focuses on the cost it takes to follow Jesus. Three Christian actors (Bryce Lenon, Reggie Austin and Gabriel Rivera) take the stage to play all the roles – Peter, Paul, Stephen, Herod, Nero and dozens of others. The show is an acting tour-de-force by professional performers commited to Jesus Christ. We bring to life the monumental events of the early church such as the stoning of Stephen, Peter’s bold sermon at Pentecost, the conversion of Saul on the Damascus road, the Riot in Jerusalem after Paul preaches Christ, the epic storm and shipwreck on the way to Rome, Paul’s trials before Nero, and many other scenes.

 Why 3 actors? Using three actors is a great way to tell an epic story without the constraints of sets and a large cast. It allows us to focus on character relationships and the emotional framework around the truth of the narrative events. It allows us to travel and repeat, reaching more people with the truth of the Gospel in a compelling way. It's powerful. It's fast paced. It's emotionally riveting. 

Why do we perform this show? We do it because we love the Lord and His Word and because we desire to use our talents for His glory by portraying His truth through drama.

Is this show established? Yes - It's a proven show both professionally and doctrinally. We've been touring for 5 years and are closing in on 50 performances reaching over 30,000 audience members with a message that reflects the innerancy and infallibility of the Bible. A3MS is a ministry.   With our limited resources, the Lord has sustained us for five years of performing in churches and conferences with the help of our booking agency. However, to really be an effective ministry we need financial backing to grow rather than relying on bookings to keep us afloat. We know that with your help, we could could really strengthen this ministry to reach more people with excellent Christian drama to spread the Gospel. 

What can you do to help expand this ministry? Contiribute and share! Every little bit helps. We are at a pivitol point in terms of reaching beyond just seasonal bookings to keep us sustainable. If you have the desire to support a ministry that stands for Biblical truth, this is an excellent and unique option!  We are confident that the Lord will use your offerings to further His kingdom.

We have three major fundrasing goals:

1. To produce the show on the East Coast in June 2016 as a way to establish further self-producing capabilities, which are very costly when you figure in theatre rental costs, marketing, travel, pay and insurance for cast and crew. This is a $18,000 expenditure on its own. Even if you don't live near this production, supporting us will enable the show to put on more productions elsewhere and cut the cost to churches across the country who want to book us.

2. To purchase necessary technical items that will belong to the show and are not borrowed from churches or individual cast members. This includes a company laptop, 4 over-ear mics, sound effect instruments, design programs and more. The cost of a laptop, computer programs and 4 audiotechnica mics with receivers is about $8500. In addition to stabilizing our technical capabilities, this will also reduce cost to churches that currently must rent microphones when booking us.

3. To film the show (as a stageplay) and edit it professionally for use by churches and for Christian education. Studio, technician, and editing time are expensive and far beyond the financial scope of our ministry, approximately $22,000.

Why are your goals higher than the amount you're asking for? We have necessities for producing and equipment. If the Lord provides more than we ask for through this funding process we will be able to film the show.

When do we need the funds? As soon as possible - please support us today! If you need to wait, any support between now and June would benefit our planned production at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA. We are signing the contract and moving ahead in faith that we will recieve the additional funds we need from GoFundMe and ticket sales.

We will still need funds after the June production, so if you can't help fund until after then, we have pressing needs for all of 2016, including filming the show and planning for 2017 and beyond.
