A Van For Micah!

Help us raise money for A Wheelchair Accessible Van for Micah and his Family.
Please consider donating to help Micah & Amy towards the cause of a van.
Micah was diagnosed with ALS, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease) in 2010 at the age of 33. His daughter, Elsa, was only 3 months old and his son, Charley, was 3 years old.
Micah continues to fight the fight, with his daily struggles of weakness & completely losing the use of his left arm & hand, pulling himself up from sitting and the difficulty of walking for any distance. Micah is beginning to use a motorized wheelchair to conserve his energy.
Micah, as the main income earner in his household, put in his resignation as the assistant principal at CAM Academy in Battle Ground, WA, October 2014. Micah has had some pretty bad falls, with the last one being the worst with complications of a concussion, vertigo & dizziness. Micah also found himself so tired after work, that it was difficult for him to interact with his own children at the end of the day.
Micah and his young family need our on-going support & love as they continue living with this terrible disease.

We need your support, so any and all contributions will make a difference!
Micah & Amy have chosen a pre-owned GMC Savana van (picture above), with a wheelchair lift and tie downs, as well as enough passenger seats for the whole family.
All donations received during this fundraiser will go directly to Micah & Amy for the purchase of the van and not to a registered charity, so are not tax deductible. Any funds in excess of the goal will go towards renovating parts of their house so that it will be ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) Compliance; e.g., wheelchair accessible, widening access, bathroom, etc.

The owners of The Mill Creek Pub will donate a portion of all receipts back to the Fundraiser for a Van for Micah. Please plan on visiting the restaurant during January 12 to contribute to the cause of a Van for Micah.
