Adobe Bluffs' Odyssey of the Mind

Please support our Adobe Bluffs Elementary Odyssey of the Mind team in their quest to attend World Finals held at Michigan State University May 20-23. This group of friends has been working for 4 months to create a Silent Movie complete with a team-created musical instrument and a original musical score - a rap called "Paint the Town Brown." Kate, Ally, Claire, Sara, Lilly, Kiara and Bria have written a script, built a pipe organ, created wigs from curled newspaper, crafted a dress out of Target bags, made palm trees out of coffee cans and sewed a donut costume for our police officer named Officer Donut that munches on.... police officers of course.

They came in 2nd place at the California State Tournament held at UC Riverside on Saturday, March 28th. Now they have the chance to create a lifelong memory by attending World Finals. They will get to compete against teams from all over the world, stay in the dorms on campus, attend NASA sponsored activities and even be buddies to an international team. Of course, there are lots of expenses associated with shipping our set pieces from San Diego to Michigan and the expense of the campus housing and flights.
