Racing for A Cause - DC Trip

Hi, my name is Ricky Springer and I am the founder of Racing for a Cause, a worldwide campaign to create awareness of eosinophil associated diseases.  I started Racing for a Cause in 2009, using my racing as a platform to educate others.  I was born with an eosinophil associated disease called Eosinophilic Colitis.  However, due to the lack of knowledge in the medical community about these diseases, I suffered and lived in horrible pain for the first 2 years of my life, while 18 different physicians were unable to diagnose my illness.  My goal with Racing for a Cause is that NO ONE should have to suffer and live in pain like I did!  You can learn more about Racing for a Cause at http://www.racingforacause.org

I have been invited to join APFED (The American Partnership for Eosinophilic Diseases) in Washington, DC on June 17th, 2014 to meet with legislatures, share our stories and ask them to consider supporting funding for research of these rare diseases.  However, at this time, my family and I are unable to fund the expenses.  We are trying to raise the money to cover the travel expenses so I can share my story on Capitol Hill.
