Mission Trip To Ireland

I am so excited for this great opportunity!  In Ireland I will get the opportunity to reach out to students on the streets of the Northern Ireland city of Londonderry and the coastal village of Skerries. The Irish youth have been worn down by years of conflict between Catholics and Protestants and are skeptical of anything that smacks of religion. My role is crucial…help them understand and experience a genuine, loving relationship with Christ.

In cities that boast the best fish ‘n chips in the world are students who are longing for a undefiled representation of true religion. My team will minister on the streets, malls and even the beaches! You’ll also carry the ministry to the parks, where I’ll use soccer, basketball, and even baseball as a way of entering into their world. And hey, ever thought about hitting the surf? Our Irish contacts want the team to facilitate a surf camp on the south coast.

The Irish have lived under the lie that religion separates. You can bring the Truth that Christ not only heals, but unifies.

Building relationships with the Irish people is at the very heart of Ireland team’s ministry. Despite the country’s deep religious heritage, the youth culture has become turned off by and jaded with Christianity. This has created a great hunger as they search for more in life. My job is to brave the worn cobblestone streets of this ancient Celtic nation to share how to have a life-transforming relationship with Jesus by reaching out to the local community using dramas, dances, and puppets. We will stay in the very heart of the places we serve, making it possible to invite our Irish friends for additional moments of relationship building and intentionality.
