Hi, All. My name is Mary Ann. About 5 years ago, I was so sick I thought I was dying... couldn't move without pain, everything in my body was giving me problems and I wasn't even able to think clearly.
My daughter came out to Texas where I was living, packed up my most important belongings in a rented truck and drove me back east. I thought I was coming home to die, but she sent me to a doctor friend who gave me some allergy tests, new tests that picked up a bunch of food allergies that the standard tests don't detect. I have severe allergies to a dozen foods, moderate allergies to a dozen more and about 30 mild allergies.
Of course I went on a very limited diet and have regained most of my health... and am holding out that I will regain even more.
I'm feeling healthy enough that I want to move out of my daughter's house, and miraculously found an apartment that I can afford, but the day after I signed the lease, my car, a '98 Escort, had a catastrophic failure in the engine. So, I have an apartment but can't move in without a car. My daughter has been driving me over to clean the place after she pickes me up from work, but she can't come get me once I move in, so it's imperative that I get another car... obviously.
I just spent all my savings last month on dental work which was badly needed, and because of being so sick in Texas, my credit would be better if it were non-existant.
I have a job and work hard, but only make $8/hr. My daughter and son-in-law are helping me as much as they can but I still need more help.

My mechanic has a couple of cars for under $2K, old but in decent condition, but they can't finance either of them.
If you could even afford to share $5 or $10 with me to help me get a car, I would be eternally grateful. Please, I have helped others whenever and wherever I could, and do what I can to make this a better world. Whatever you can spare will make a world of difference to me in my hour of need.
