Help a Mermaid replace her Tail!

I want to introduce you to my friend Ashley. We've known each other for years. In 2009, she and I began performing at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. In 2012, Ashley found her true niche at the festival when she began performing in the brand new Mermaid Cove area as the mermaid Nadira.

Since Ashley began performing as Nadira, her elegant beauty and playful demeanor has brought smiles and joy to the hearts and minds of thousands of people across the country, young and old. She has performed at fundraisers, childrens parties, the Minnesota Renaissance Festival and the Scarborough Renaissance Festival in Texas, and her mermaid persona has almost become a second skin for her.

In January of 2014, Ashley was swimming with her mermaid tail in a public pool. She took the tail off and hung it to dry in the locker room while she went to have a shower. When she returned, she found that her beautiful mermaid tail had been vandalized; the silicone scales had been cut in several places, and the monofin tail had been split apart. She was never able to find out who did it, or why.

The company that makes these beautiful mermaid tails have said that her tail is too damaged to repair, and that she would need to have a whole new tail made. This is a significant investment, to be sure, but well worth it, as these tails are hand-and-custom made to order of durable Dragonskin silicone, and each one is a true work of art.
