Help me save my niece from an abuser

Who am I?
Most people know me as Kris- the founder of SCaR. I make resources for trauma survivors. I am 21 years old and a survivor of rape, an abusive relationship, and sibling abuse.
What's going on? (tw: child abuse, domestic violence.)
We're trying to get custody of my niece. Her mother is the person who abused me for most of my life and has also recently started living with a man who is not legally allowed to see his own children due to stepping on his wife's throat while they were in the room and telling her 'wouldn't it be a shame if they had to see me drag your dead body out of here?'
He and my niece's mother have already had one dispute that the cops were called but they both decided to drop charges.
Her mother has threatened to make sure we never see my niece again if we lose this custody battle.
My niece spends most of her time living with my family so thankfully her mother hasn't had a chance to her abuse her- but the time she does spend with her, she doesn't pay attention to her/won't take her out places/sleeps and lets the child watch herself. In a previous fight her mother threatened to just leave the child with us and 'have another so that this one will actually love me'. The main reason her mother wants custody isn't because she cares about my niece- but because she wants to punish our mother.
Why 3000 dollars?
Honestly, that's a low ball estimate of what we need. The attorney costs 250 dollars per hour in court and we've already paid her a couple thousand in out of court costs. We have no way of knowing how long the court battle will drag on. Her mother has sworn to fight it for as long as she can.
Plus, 3000 means that if about 90% of the people who follow the SCaR tumblr donate 1 dollar I would be able to meet the goal. If 60% of SCaR followers donated 5 dollars a piece- we would be able to raise over 10,000 dollars. All money will go towards the custody battle and should we raise more than we need- it will go into a fund for her benefit only.

My niece is a beautiful 6 year old child with sensory processing disorder and far too much energy. She's a girl scout and has recently taken up TaeKwonDo. She likes bugs a lot and is the most important person in my life. I make sure to tell her so daily. I don't feel comfortable putting either of our pictures up here due to privacy issues so I included a picture of her uniforms instead.

In the upcoming days I'm going to be adding reward levels with bracelets/ stickers and maybe even t-shirts.
