Catalina Island Archaeology Field School
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Morgan Pease and I am a 22 year old Anthropology major at CSU Sacramento and I am set to graduate with my BA in Spring 2016. I am trying to raise money to attend an Archaeology field school in the summer of 2016. The Pimu Catalina Island Archaeology Field school is an ongoing collaborative project between the Pimu Catalina Island Archaeology Project, the Catalina Island Conservancy, the University of Southern California and members of the Gabrielino (Tongva) Nation and works to protect historic sites on the island. A field school not only earns me college credits, but valuable experience in the field, training to become an Archaeologist or Cultural Resource Manager and puts value to my Bachelor degree for getting employed. If you visit this site , you can read up on the program and see what it's all about. The total tuition is about 4,150 USD but I will also need to cover any travel or extraneous expenses as well as an assortment of dig equipment that I need to purchase for a kit. Any amount of donation will be appreciated from 10 cents or more. It all adds up!
