Emergency Flood Relief Appeal Croatia

Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia have been hit by the worst flooding on record (so, in over 120 years). Three months worth of rain fell in just three days.
Town and villages have been flooded, and the total number of people who have fled their homes or been evacuated from them is, for now, around 500,000, with evacuation and rescue operations still under way. The confirmed death toll in all three countries is around 70, but that is bound to rise as more bodies are found.
The material damage - infrastructure, houses, industry and agricultural land - is huge. In total, for now, around 23,000 km2 have been flooded. In some areas, the water is 4 or 5 meters high.

It is not over yet. The rains have stopped, but the accumulated water is still there. There will be (and are) more water surges and more flooding, and there is a very real danger that the various embankments that have been set up might give, as has already happened in places.

I am from Croatia and I am currently doing my PhD at the University of Cambridge, UK. As there is at the moment no official PayPal method to donate money to the Croatian Red Cross or any of the Governmental institution, I am trying to bridge this problem and give the opportunity to people from abroad who want to help our people.
All money you donate will be transferred to the Croatian Red Cross and used specifically for the flooding catastrophe in Croatia.
