Waterproof Bible Covers 4 Homeless
We are dedicated to continuing our mission to provide encouragement, support and service to the men and women in our homeless shelters. I started this GoFundMe campaign in mid 2014 to create weather resistant bible covers to donate to the men's homeless shelter.
This effort got off to a nice start that allowed me to buy some of the materials & supplies sooner than I would have been able to do on my own. After a few trials and revisions I designed a weather resistant Bible Cover that I can efficiently produce and donate to fulfill this mission. For a time this project was delayed due to health and family issues taking the forefront but we are now continuing with our dedication to this mission and our goals to serve the community.
My fiance , Kim Long, was called into mission ministry over 5 years ago and he works tirelessly as a case manager with homeless men here in Columbus, GA. KIm opened my eyes to the world that he works in daily and the basic needs of the people he serves. God has a mission for both of us to serve those in need and I am so happy to do whatever I can with my gifts and the love I have for the Lord.
Our goal is to grow this mission to supply both men's and women's shelters in our area and beyond with donations of these special bible covers. For many of the homeless people, their bibles are their only prized possession. For others, receiving a bible is an emotional, special gift that helps them learn and find the hope and courage they need to move forward in their lives.
I will post photos soon of the Bible Covers. They are made from outdoor canvas that is mold, mildew, UV Ray, water and stain resistant. They are durable and long lasting and the design is inspirational. The people I want to serve in this mission are often outside in all kinds of weather and conditions. The Bible Covers allow them to carry a bible with them and have it protected from the elements.
