Hello,
I am Brittany Marie Lucio, a contestant in Miss California USA 2015. I would like to ask for your kindness and generosity in helping me on my quest. My passion is to educate our youth specifically in our urban communities; teach them the basics to life to help them succeed and encourage them to follow their dreams no matter of their current situation or struggles.
I was born and raised in South Sacramento California where I managed to overcome my own trial and tribulations. I know how it feels not to have someone to look up to and idolize, to push and motivate you, or not to have someone simply to talk to that understands and willing to listen. The challenges that were put in front of me never discouraged my focus or desire to follow my dreams. I am confident that I can provide the support our children need. It’s my deepest aspiration to be that person.
It’s more than just a beauty pageant, it’s an outlet to possibilities, for myself, and the lives I plan to touch along the way. Being crowned MISS CALIFORNIA USA will inevitably provide opportunities to be a voice and a leader. The competition is a great tool to build confidence, personal development and public speaking skills. These are all great attributes to further my goals as an artist and role model.
Recently, I have volunteered as an assistant coach with Playworks. Playworks is an Oakland based national non-profit organization that supports learning and physical health by providing safe and inclusive play to low-income students in urban schools. I am passionate in what I do.
I hope that you will take a moment out of your busy day and help me pursue my dreams to help others pursue theirs. Any donation is appreciated and will go a long way.
