Nicalas - Youth Olympic Games 2018

Nicalas will be representing Cape Verde in the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina 2018. Please like and share his page “Nicalas Fernandes FanPage” for updates on his journey. He is the only Youth from his hometown/City of Brockton, MA (Nicalas actually made history as the only Youth from the City of Brockton, MA to ever go to the YOG), from Massachusetts, from New England that has qualified and met requirements as of now, and has a guaranteed spot at the YOG. He is a dual citizen, Cape Verde and USA. His name has already been submitted to the IOC(International Olympic Committee) to compete at the Youth Olympic Games for Cape Verde’s Wild Card in Taekwondo -55kg! #Youth Olympic Games. Your support will help pay for trips, training and competing prior to the Youth Olympic Games 2018 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Theses are required in order to boost Nicalas’ Olympic Ranking also as his attendance alone at the YOG will also boost his ranking for the The Olympics in Tokyo 2020. We are estimating at least $30000 will be needed to do all of this. We are looking for sponsors(if you are a company that we can advertise for/wear your advertising on a shirt) we will do it. We are also looking for donations as this will be a hefty bill.

A little about Nicalas: Nicalas is a great, well rounded kid. He is in 11th grade, junior in high school, and an honor roll student. Nic plays football, basketball, and runs on the track team as well as long jump for his high school teams. Nic is a BlackBelt in Shotokan Karate. Nic is also a 2nd Degree/Dan in Taekwondo. Nic is a NASKA Champion, a 2011 and 2012 KRANE Ratings Triple Crown Champion as well as State, Overall, and National Champion in karate forms, point sparring, and weapons, as well as other local and national championships! Nic is a World Bronze Medalist (2012 WAKO World Championships, Bratislava, Slovakia as well as a World Silver Medalist (2014 WAKO World Championships, Rimini, Italy). He has won many competitions in Taekwondo also as he has won 1st place at the New England Master’s Open and many other Gold Medals locally, in his district and nationally in Taekwondo. He now needs your help to make this next step happen. After all he comes from the City of Champions!!!
