Chicago Printmaking Residency Fund!
My name is Yvianna Hernandez and I have been granted the amazing opportunity to attend a printmaking residency at Anchor Graphics at Columbia College in Chicago for three whole weeks this August. For three weeks I will be working hard drafting, etching, proofing, editing, and physically printing a new work of art to showcase to the world.
Printmaking, specifically intaglio printing, is nearly impossible to do without the proper equipment and space (all of which are terribly expensive). To be chosen and allowed to use these facilities as well as learn in a new environment is a dream come true! A slightly expensive dream that I need your help with.
The college has gratuitously offered me a place to stay, but I am responsible for everything else. Between expensive medical bills and an already tight budget, I cannot sum up the money I need for airfare, public transfer, meals, supplies, etc... on my own. In return for your generous donation I will be offering original prints (including what I'll be producing in Chicago), illustrations, and sketches.
