Best of the BEST Scholarship

Please help us create a scholarship that will benefit graduating Seniors in the Bethel School District and honor past volunteers that have helped so many already.  We need to raise at least $10,000 in order to create a scholarship that will be able to pay out to students every year.  Every little bit helps.  From $10 to $10,000, we can get there together.

Four women, Marilyn Rasmussen, Helen Randles, Pat Roberts-Dempsey and Cathy Wheeler, (Best of the BEST) have recently retired from the B.E.S.T. Dollars for Scholars. They will be honored at the Tuesday, May 13 Bethel School Board Meeting at the ESC (Educational Services Center), 516 176th St South,Spanaway, WA 98387. The meeting starts at 7 pm and honorees will be recognized during the first part of the board meeting. Following will be refreshments and punch during the meeting recess.

Amongst them these women have spent nearly 70 years helping the scholarship foundation raise money to provide scholarships for graduates of the four Bethel high schools. They have been instrumental in growing the foundation to currently over $1.1 million. Each spring about 80 students receive nearly $100,000 in scholarships.
