Save Maury's heart

One day I was online and I came across an ad for Be Be Humane Society in Arkansas. I clicked on it and there was Maury, 2lbs, the runt of the litter with mange and a grade 3 heart murmur, too small and sick to go to a pet store. His fate was dim. It was love at first sight. I contacted them for information and before I knew it for $100 plans were arranged for Maury to take a puppy bus from Arkansas to New York. Halfway through the trip Maury fell ill due to a low glucose level and had to be rushed to a hospital in Virginia. Being the survivor he is, Maury made it through and eventually arrived in New York to meet his mommy and new family, including his current BFF, a Chihuahua named Mia. With love, proper care, nutrition and medication we nursed Maury back to a relatively healthy, extremely happy dog. Today Maury is four years old. He is smart, silly and clever with an amazing personality and he is the love of my life. I'm humbly asking my fellow dog lovers for help, as Maury is diagnosed with severe pulmonic stenosis. He was never eligible for pet insurance due to his heart murmur so I've paid everything out of pocket, including numerous echocardiograms and Cardiologist visits. At this time our cardiologist recommended Maury have a balloon valvuloplasty to treat his pulmonic stenosis and will save his life at the cost of $4,500. I am a social worker with numerous bills of my own including substantial debt acquired from treating Maurys pre-existing conditions. Any help or assistance would be greatly appreciated towards his surgery to ensure the longevity of his life, so he can continue to bring joy and happiness into my world and to everyone who knows him.
