With the event looming, Reality Camp has hit me repeatedly on multiple fronts. I am attempting to juggle many balls and am reaching out to see if you can help with my balls. (NOT a euphemism!) I work hard, and am willing to assist wherever I can, personally and for the Flipside Community.
A fender bender on the way to the Warehouse for a meeting has left me carless for the past three weeks, I can't afford the cost of having the frame straightened, which insurance wouldn't cover. The repairs cannot proceed until that is done.
I also recently had to get dental work, for a tooth that had gotten infected, leaving me with a rather large medical debt. Thankfully, I am no longer in constant pain.
In addition to the previously mentioned costs, I am uncertain how I will be able to cover my rent in June, much less the expense for supplies to go to Flipside.
These large expenses might have been manageable over time, if not for the fact that I lost my position at the University due to budget cuts. I have been actively looking for a new position, as well as being amenable to odd (the odder the better) jobs. I have already made initial payments on all of these debts, but I now no longer have the means to pay off the balances. I am in danger of losing my vehicle, which I require for job searching and work, and my housing.
I have been looking forward and planning to celebrate our collective efforts on the grassy playa all year, however, this overwhelming stress has given me tunnel vision.
