Surgery for Grady

Donation protected
To say that Robyn and her family could use a break is an understatement. Many of you know about Jax, their super kid who is beating a genetic disorder and a heart defect. Jax has a twin, Martin, and an older sister, Emma, as well. Even with good insurance the costs really add up for Jax - from co-pays, to things the insurance company may decide aren't necessary after the fact, to gas to drive him into the city to the hospital or his physical therapy appointments, to things I'm sure she never mentions or even thinks about - and Robyn never complains. I call her Super Mom pretty much every day because she is. And they've just recently had some very expensive and unexpected car repairs, house problems, the unexpected cost of daycare for 3 instead of 2, and remember the nightmare of the furlough and the government shutdown? Yeah, that didn't help...

Enter Grady, their wonderful rescue dog who gives their family so much love. Every time I go to their house he's there... a big, licking greeter. He's gentle and amazing with the kids and I'm sure Jax gets untold benefits from Grady without anyone even realizing it.
Robyn and her husband Eric rescued Grady 6 years ago when he was a young pup from BARK in Glen Allen, VA and he was their first child. And he keeps the kids' feet clean!

Robyn is telling all of Grady's doggy friends that he injured his knee running in a steeplechase and then chasing down a purse snatcher so he can save face, but truthfully, he jumped over a fence, probably in hot pursuit of a squirrel. However, the reality is, Grady needs ACL surgery. When I asked Robyn how in the world she was going to pay for it she just sighed and said "credit card". Without the surgery he'll be hobbled and in terrible pain. I offered to do some crowdfunding to help and she intially refused. I had to talk her into it. So please, help this awesome family who is ALWAYS doing things for other people. Here they are at the March for Babies just last weekend.

They need a break, and Grady needs surgery.

Anyone who donates $100 or more gets an awesome original work of art from Emma, Jax and Martin.

Apparently Martin will come draw on your furniture!

Martin could also do performance art where he draws on himself, or your kids (though he may give credit/blame to Jax)!

Any donation at all with get you high 5s and hugs, real and/or virtual, and their eternal gratitude.
