In 2015 I visited Ciego De Avila Cuba for the first time. I was there to visit and speak with Church organizations and meet with aspiring bodybuilders of all ages.
To my surprise, the few gyms I visited were limited with the quality of equipment we have here. Instead, what I found were very ambitious and passionate young men who workout with homemade equipment made of scrap metal. This includes barbell and plates from railroads and heavy equipment gears for plates.
They exercise outside on back yards. There is no roof, no walls, no floor; (as you will see in the video).
I feel that it is my divine calling to step in and assist these young men so that they can pursue their dreams of possibly of someday becoming a competitive bodybuilder.
Being a lifetime bodybuilder and winner of many titles and awards, I am more than empathetic to what they are dreaming of but unfortunately limited in resources.
With this calling, I have planned another trip in June 2017. My sole mission is simple and includes two purposes:
1. Assist them with the construction of 3 small gyms which includes a fully enclosed structure with a Roof, Walls, and Floors.
2. Conduct 3 seminars in a church facility where the gyms are located. I will personally be hosting these seminars to guide them on the proper training techniques, proper nutrition and I share my testimony. With my background, I can provide them with all of my personal knowledge on these topics.
So, with your help, my goal is to raise $4,000.00 to help me cover some of my expenses as well as the cost of the material. Your contribution will be of blessing to these upcoming bodybuilding.
My promise to you is that I will document this trip by way of Video and Photos so that you can see the results after we complete this mission.
