Help me bounce back to NABJ in Boston

Donation protected
For the past two years, I've attended the National Association of Black Journalists convention, and it has been such a blessing in helping me further my career.

Through NABJ, I've created some of the best mentors and peers who have helped me get where I am today. Right after graduating last summer, with the help of NABJ, I landed a life-changing internship in Brooklyn, N.Y., with The Atavist, where I helped produce and edit multimedia for its longform stories, and one of them is a finalist for the National Magazine Awards!

Right now, I report and help manage the website as an intern for The Jersey Journal, a daily newspaper in Secaucus, N.J., and I have not been able to save up for the convention, which is $380.

As my internship wraps up and as I near a year post-grad, it is my wish to attend this year's convention in Boston, which is fairly close to me. However, if I am not able to raise the total amount by June 15, I plan to still travel to Boston to network.

If you're able to donate, I will be sure to include you as a sponsor in a recap video of the convention.

If you're unable to donate, please spread the word to anyone who may be interested in doing so.

Much thanks,
Vonecia
