Rosie's vet-scapade!

Rosemary the kitten is part of a family of strays who have been living safe in our house until they are old enough to adopt. Her momma is Bubble, and she has brothers Parsley and Thyme, and a sister Sage (see what we did there?).

A few days ago we discovered that Rosemary has a congenital condition called "imperforate anus" (sounds horrible!) which basically means she has no way to go poop! When she was growing in her momma's womb her plumbing didn't get hooked up quite right, but there is hope.

There is surgery available that can help Rosie live a full and happy life, but it is risky and a little expensive. Because we have our own cats as well as the local stays and feral cats we look after, we don't have all the funds we would need to get Rosie her surgery. We are working with local shelter organizations and charities to see what help they can be, but as we all know money is tight for everyone.
