Hi. My name Is Charlton. I was removed from a neglectful home in February and put in a foster home. During that time I had to be dewormed and have all my baby teeth removed as they had caused a big infection in my mouth. This lovely foster family found me a forever home in May with Stef and Boots.





Stef is a nice lady. She has been training me to be a therapy dog because I love people so much and I bring joy and smiles to everyone I meet.  Boots is a 14 year old Papillion and was also a rescue. Boots has taught me how to do the stairs, to bark at the intercom and many other new dog skills.
 In May new mom brought me to the vet to get my vaccinations. During that vet visit the vet found that I still had a mouth infection so I started some antibiotics. In August my mouth still wasn't better. The vet thought I had an abscessed tooth which had to be taken out. When I was in surgery the vet found 17 rotting teeth which all had to be removed. My mom shed many tears wondering what she got herself into as I was turning into a very expensive new addition ($2000 in under 3 months). Last week I went back to my vet to see how I was healing and she found that my mouth is back to being infected (only 10 days after surgery). The vet has diagnosed me with Ulcerative Gingivitis (the smallest amount of plaque on my teeth causes my oral tissues to bleed and create open wounds). As my vet and the majority of veterinarian research states the only treatment option is to have all my teeth removed to stop the painful ulceration. I've been referred to a specialist dentist to have my teeth removed. This will be very expensive and my new mom cannot afford all of it. I humbly ask all of you who can afford (even if it's only a few dollars, every bit helps) please assist my mom to pay for this expensive surgery which will bring me great relief.
