Lakota Documentary

Donation protected
For the past two years my small team and I have had the pleasure and honor of getting to know a community of people brimming with vibrancy and life unlike any other: the Lakota, an indigenous population, on the Rosebud Reservation in Mission, South Dakota.

We have become so moved by their stories and experiences that we started a project in an effort to spread their message off the reservation and across the country. This project is a feature documentary that will illustrate the culture and society of the Lakota people.

Our mission is to provide a platform for the Lakota to share their own stories which they are so eager to teach.

Their story is one that everyone should hear and learn from - a vibrant people rich with spirit and culture who manage to find reason to celebrate life amidst devastating circumstances.

Filmmaking is expensive, especially when the story is one that deserves to be done right. We need help for things like travel expenses, equipment rental, and a long list of other things that add up quickly.

We ask that you make a donation, no matter how small, and share this page so that you may help us in our commitment to provide a platform for storytelling. The story of the Lakota is one of the human condition - something that affects us all - and we need your support to share a story that is long overdue.
