Joffrey School of Ballet fund

My name is Jorden Blackwell and I have been dancing for 13 years since the age of two. I've train in various disciplines of dance and have also perfomed with a pre-professional program prefoming to over 20,000 people a night. Recently I perfomed in the Russian Ballet's performance to The Nutcracker. This spring I was accpeted in The Joffrey School of Ballet in New York as Ballet Trainee, where I will train in dance, theory, and other subjects relating to perfoming arts for 8 hours a day. In the evening I will be continuing my high school education through on-line programing. 

I currently live with my parents and two younger siblings meaning that I belong to a family of five. I will be moving to New York on my own and am unable to get a job to help with tuition, dormitory fees and everyday living expenses. Being that I am still in highschool I am uneligible for scholarships and student loans, therefore; my parents will have to pay for this all while taking care of themselves and my younger siblings. 

Overall expenses over the 4 years I will be studying dance will be approximatley $160 000 not including flights back home to see my family.  I have created this account in hopes to raise money for my first year in New York, and to releive some of the pressure and stress from my parents.

Joining the Joffery training program will assist me in following my dream of becoming a professional dancer and provide me with the tools and skills needed to enter such a competative industry.
