Send Rachel to Carnegie Hall!

Hello! Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Rachel and I am 25-year-old biomedical research scientist living in Milwaukee, WI. Although music is not my career, I have been passionate about it my entire life. I was recently presented with the once in a lifetime opportunity to sing at Carnegie Hall this November.

As I'm sure you could imagine, such a trip does not come cheap. I am currently supporting myself, my boyfriend of 8 years, and our cat on my salary alone. Unfortunately, my boyfriend has been unable to find full-time work, so his income goes towards his student loans.

I never thought I would turn to fundraising to help me fullfill one of my lifelong dreams, as I have always been such a financially independent person. I've been steadily employed since the age of 16 and have never asked anyone for money ever since. I paid for 4 years of private college education with no assistance from family. It seems silly and selfish of me to ask for your hard-earned money when there are so many other people who could greatly benefit from it. All I can say is thank you so much for helping me get to Carnegie Hall!
