Summer Research in the Amazon

Hey Friends!
Several weeks ago I was accepted to an incredible internship opportunity where I will go to the Amazon in Peru (http://primatesperu.org/"‹) and do behavioral observations of Saki monkeys. The purpose of the research is to observe and analyze the relationship between Sakis and their predators to see if they communicate or show awareness of each other's presence. This opportunity would be a taste of what I hope and dream to do in the future therefore I am beyond blessed and excited to be given this chance.
However, this program is very expensive. I have $3000 through a Baldwin scholarship, but I still need $1100 for the plane ticket to Peru. I need this money by April 29th.
I have worked diligently and consistently to make this internship into an independent study so I could receive financial aid. All things seemed in my favor until last Thursday when I was informed that Global Education would be unable to provide me any funds. Over the last few days I have contacted many individuals and organizations (like the bio department or lemur center) who all are sympathetic to my situation but cannot do anything about it.
If you agree to donate, you will not be charged unless I meet the goal. For now, donations are only pledges.
