VTC Ent. Elk's Rodeo Queen Candidate
Donation protected
My name is Johna Emerick. I am the oldest daughter of Kenny and Vicki Emerick with my fifteen-year old sister Alex and my six-year old brother Kenny, we have lived in Santa Maria all of our lives. I am 17 years old and a senior at Righetti high school. Growing up in this rural community has provided me many opportunities. One such opportunity is running for Elk's Rodeo Queen.
As an Elks Rodeo Queen Candidate I am able to help my community by raising awareness and money for nonprofit organizations in my local community. My sponsor for this event is VTC Enterprises also known as Vocational Training Center. VTC Enterprises is a not-for-profit organization that assists individuals with varying disabilities in job skills and career opportunities.
My goal is to raise $100,000 dollars by May 25th. I am extremely excited to raise this money for VTC Enterprises, as it is dear to my heart; my Uncle Ralph has Intellectual Disabilities and works in an organization similar to VTC Enterprises. I am grateful for organizations like VTC Enterprises because they provide many layers of opportunities for people like my uncle. My family has always taught me that giving is better than receiving. Taking part in this event allows me to pay it forward.
Participating in this event awards me the opportunity at a scholarship, furthering my dream of becoming a large animal chiropractor. I have become extremely interested in this career because of how passionate I am about large livestock. For the past decade I have dedicated my time and energy in 4-H. Through my work with 4-H I have showed sheep and cattle, been teen leader, president of Los amigos 4-H, and have recently achieved Supreme Grand Champion with my replacement heifer and my bull.
By donating to my campaign, 100% of the money that is raised goes straight to VTC Enterprises and provides Intellectually Disabled individuals with a better future. Please support my campaign.
Sincerely Yours,
Johna Emerick
