Wheels for a Needy Family

Hussein, Noor and baby Fedak are Iraqi refugees who moved to America in December.  Hussein was robbed within the first few days of being here.  Our Allen Young Life committee and leader team came together and provided a few of their basic needs - food, 1 month's rent, a bed, crib, kitchen table and chairs, couch, etc back in February because they literally had nothing but clothes.  

We've worked to help Hussein find a job and get a license, but he needs transportation to get to this new job. 

My dad spent several weeks fixing up an old car that we were going to give Hussein, but when my dad was driving it down from amarillo to allen last week, it broke down in Van Alstyne. We had it towed to a mechanic but the mechanic told us the engine was shot and would cost us $3K to fix. I sold the car to a salvage yard for $250. I'm hoping to get a decent vehicle for Hussein by next Tuesday for around $1,500 so I'm trying to raise the remaining $1,200. I've never used this gofundme campaign before but thought it was worth a shot.  Any and every little bit will help tremendously.

Thanks for helping me show this family that america is not only filled with selfish people who take advantage of you, but it's a great country also filled with generous and caring people who love their neighbors and are willing to fight the good fight on their behalf.
