Argentine Once in a Lifetime Summer Study Abroad Opportunity

Donation protected
Dear family and friends,

As you all know, I am only 4 weeks away from my travels to different parts of Argentina for my 3 week summer study abroad session. One I never imagined I would do in this lifetime, but am so grateful I decided to take it on! Having this be my last opportunity to travel for my studies in Architecture, I would like to gain new knowledge and experiences with my classmates as we're out in the wild sketching and designing to our hearts content. My last opportunity to travel for school before I FINALLY end my undergrad program this December...with the hopes that you guys can help support me. The collected funds will be put towards my summer tuition cost, travel, and lodging expenses (all expenses are up to 7000 already). Therefore, anything would be greatly appreciated...even a word of advice or wishes for safe travels :)

For those who know me, I have always worked to independently support myself through all financial needs. This is now something I would like to do for myself and that is to give myself a short break from work to finally concentrate on my studies that I am pursuing in a new setting and environment.

My passion and journey for architecture has been an extensive one. I was first introduced to the discipline my freshmen year of high school where my interest and training for architecture began. Those years helped me discover my love for design. I decided to move to San Francisco to attend California College of the Arts in 2005 to further my studies. It was a goal I was set on, but due to financial constraints I decided to defer my attendance in order to cut my costs by attending the City College of San Francisco instead. A decision I have never regret making because it was the reason why I was able to obtain my current job at Sally Swanson Architects, a new chapter of my life that started in 2007. Unlike many of my friends or people I know, I unusually began working professionally in the field before I completed my studies and with 7 years of professional experience, I can say it was not a bad decision at all.

Paving my way through school with a work schedule has not been easy. It takes some real management in order to balance them out. Something I've been used to for years and times I will definitely miss when its all over (but not quite, since I plan on attending grad school as well :)). It's through these experiences and lessons that I am able to have a fulfilled life thus far!

BUT do know that your support will not go in vain! I will continue to grow as an individual, as a designer and with an even stronger vision as an architect.

Thank you from the bottom of heart!
