boy scout eagle project - phoenix rising

hi. my name is matthew and i'm a boy scout, working towards the honor of eagle rank. part of that process includes the completion of a project that will be of service to others. i have chosen to build an outdoor classroom area for the tulsa school of arts and science. you may recognize the name from the news- their school burned down a year and a half ago. they have since relocated to a new location, in a historic former elementary school. my project will be to resurrect the old outdoor classroom structure from the fire site and rebuilding a new structure at the new school location. it will be a "green" project in the sense that we will be using as many pieces of the old structure as possible. a scout is also "thrifty", but that doesn't eliminate all of the expenses of hauling the materials, feeding the volunteer laborers (fellow scouts), and the purchase of whatever new materials will be needed to complete the project. the tulsa school for arts and science mascot has always been the phoenix. the events of the fire have given us the opportunity to rise like one! please consider a donation of any amount! your support is very appreciated! thank you!!
