dollars for declan

I know it's been a long time but Declan (now known as McGee) finally found his fur ever home with amazing couple! He's their only pet and they plan to love him until the end of his days. He's doing great and looks amazing!!! Thank every last one of you who donated and helped get this boy into a forever home and the life he deserves! Doesn't he look happy?!



declan is an approximately two year old blind malamute. a friend of mine found him listed on craigslist as a husky. it was obvious from the pictures that he wasn't in the greatest shape. this fact drove me to rescue him. i most certainly never expected what i found. declan is severely underweight (approximately 50 pounds underweight according to the vet i've spoken to about his condition.). he has no eyes (a birth defect his ex owners claim). his eye sockets were never cleaned and therefore filthy. he has broken teeth. his poop showed signs of digestive blood when i first got him (it has since improved with actually being fed). his coat is in terrible shape. he also has grand mal seizures. he was an unexpected blessing. i didn't have the money, time, or gas in my car to go and pick him up but i refused to let that stop me. i was on the road for ten hours in one day picking him up and bringing him home. thus my dilemma. the vet in my area that is usually great about working with people has stopped doing so. they refuse to see him until i have the money to pay them. he is in dire need of veterinary attention. especially with his seizures. we need a full assessment and to know what is wrong with him so we can go about treating him properly. i don't have the funds for all of the tests that need to be preformed so i'm asking for assistance. any help is so greatly appreciated; even the smallest amount.
