Elon ZTA Donation Page for Derby Days

Dear friends and family,
Zeta Tau Alpha is raising money on behalf of the Sigma Chi fraternity for The Children's Miracle Network. The Children's Miracle Network provides comfort, treatment, research and hope to millions of children suffering from common childhood afflictions like asthma or broken bones, to more serious challenges like birth defects and cancer. Many of the parents of these children are younger and not financially established to pay for the high cost of medical treatment necessary to help their children. For the past 30 years, The Children's Miracle Network has raised over $4.7 billion for 170 children's hospitals across the country to help pay for everything from equipment to uncompensated care.

Over the past 25 years, Elon University's Sigma Chi chapter has raised money for the cause through generous donations from caring individuals, companies and campus organizations looking to make a difference. Past fundraisers include car washes, profit shares, talent shows, and Derby Days. Derby Days, a weeklong philanthropic event where sororities compete each day in sporting events including volleyball, kickball and powderpuff football, is a nationally-recognized philanthropy event. Elon's Sigma Chi chapter has annually raised more than $10,000 from this event alone.
We are required to raise a minimum of $600 as a sorority to enter the Derby Days contest, but our goal is to raise as much money as possible for the cause. Zeta Tau Alpha has been very active with The Children's Miracle Network, taking part in events such as Elonthon, Elon University's 24 hour dance-a-thon. Earlier this month, ZTA raised over $8,400 dollars from the dance-a-thon event alone.
We would like to ask for your support in this competition to help us raise money for The Children's Miracle Network. Any amount would be greatly appreciated. Derby Days is taking place the first week of May, and ZTA will be accepting any donation amount until May 1st.
