Not prepared for cancer...

Donation protected
Meet my mother-in-law, Diane Ramos.  She is a loving, care-free spirit who would give anyone in need the shirt off her back.  She has been a working class woman her entire life, sometimes holding more than one job at a time to support her children.

Now as a grandmother she had still been working as a personal care giver to the elderly in order to maintain her household.

A chronic cough along with severe chest pains led her to a trip to the ER.  Unfortunately that trip led to an admission, which led to discovering that she had a tumor in her right lung and eventually was diagnosed with Stage-3 lung cancer.  Also at this time she was diagnosed with COPD, which meant that surgery is not an option.

With her doctors' diagnosis, and now being labeled "disabled" in order to take her treatments, she is no longer able to support her monthly expenses.  Her youngest daughter, (and roommate) is now also her chauffeur and care-giver on this new adventure into remission (prayers for this are welcome).

Currently she is on the tail end of a six-week severely intense attack on her cancer with radiation everyday and chemotherapy once a week.

Sadly because of the circumstances the bills have been put on the back burner and they are coming up to being three months behind on their mortgage.  They are scraping by with electric, food and gas but the whole situation has been very taxing on the whole family emotionally, financially and spiritually.

Another unfortunate event is that there are no food stamps, no Medicaid, no disability "“ Nothing that has been applied for in a true state of need that is being approved to help them.

The money that is being asked for on this page is to help save the house, to assist in monthly bills and to hopefully pay some of the medical bills that have unfavorably accumulated to well over $40,000.00.

I do want to stress that money will first go to saving the house, and when that situation is better managed, the finances would then go to the medical bills.

This amazing woman has spent her life loving everyone, helping anyone she could, a shoulder to cry on, a kind word when needed, offering food and shelter to many who found themselves without.  It would mean the world if we could just make it to where she did not have to be stressed out about money during these times of trial.

I want to say thank you now to everyone who even looks at this page, whether you are able to donate or not, a simple "share" on Facebook may lead us to something more than what we have already.  Every dollar counts, every prayer counts and we appreciate everything.
