Trip for medical treatment

My friend Rebeca is deaf and she's a student for visual arts, also a great artist.  She was recently diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa, an eye disease that eventually causes blindness.  There is no cure for it but there are hospitals that can help and and are reaserching for treatments.  Her or her family can't afford to fly to Florida or California (the two best hospital options for this disease) and I feel the urgency to help her as soon as possible to collect the money necessary to receive some help before it gets worse and she looses her vision.  It is already hard enough for her to be deaf and being deaf and blind would be very hard for her and her career.  That's why I wish to start taking action as soon as possible.
