Victor Gonnella is a young man who wears his heart on his sleeve and is by far one of a kind. Family is everything to Victor and he is loved by many and has always been the guy that is there for you 24-7 no matter what the problem.
On March 17, 2014 Victor Gonnella was the passenger of a horrific and senseless car accident on Milltown Road in Brewster, NY which not only has devastated Victor's parents and family, but an entire community.
Victor was airlifted into Westchester Medical Center where he had emergency brain surgery to control the bleed in his brain and suffered a broken neck, back, ribs, arm, jaws, facial bones and a fractured skull. He has had numerous operations and everyday is a new challenge. Victor was in a medically induced coma for almost 3 weeks at Maria Fereri Childrens Hospital in Valhalla, NY. On April 4th he regained consciousness.
Victor will remain in the hospital while healing, then he will eventually be transferred to another facility which specializes in Traumatic Brain Injury and Spinal cord injuries.
This GoFundMe was created with the intent to assist Victor and his family in taking some of the financial burden off of their shoulders. Victor's family will be spending a substantial amount of money in the upcoming weeks and months. All donations will go directly to Victor's family to ensure that all of Victor's needs are met.
