Help Me See the World Differently

Donation protected
Savanna is 2 1/2 years old. She has been diagnosed with basal ganglia disease, Cerebral Palsy, abnormal (low) muscle tone, and severe developmental delays. She is transported by wheelchair due to her limited independent mobility. Due to Savanna's diagnosis, she lacks trunk support and neck/head control. She is unable to sit, crawl, or walk independently. Savanna has been in therapy working on these skills since she was 6 months old. We would like to purchase a couple items to help Savanna with strengthening her trunk and neck muscles. We are looking to purchase the Rifton Floor Sitter which supports Savanna's sitting but gives her the opportunity to work on her neck muscles and head control. It is a 90 degree floor sitter where she would have to use her neck muscles but still have the opportunity to play.We would also like to purchase the Headpod to use during times where we want Savanna's head up without her working so hard. This would be great for school and play activities. The Headpod gives Savanna neck and head support which allows her to focus more on using her arms and hands to explore. The Headpod has been used while at school and teachers say it makes a world of difference. Savanna doesn't have to work as hard to hold her head up. She can see the world from a different view without concentrating on lifting and holding her head still. This also gives Savanna the opportunity to work with her arms and hands to play, activate switches, and explore her surroundings. Trying to balance, lift, and control your trunk and head muscles is extermely difficult when your brian does not correspond properly. Without head control you are extremely limited to your mobility. Headpod - Keeps the head up-It is a revolutionary dynamic system for inadequate head control of children with combined hypotonia of the neck and trunk.https://www.headpod.com/Rifton Floor Sitter - Provides upper shouder and trunk support while leaving hands free for playing and maintaining optimal erect trunk alignment. This encourages trunk strength and stability. It is not reclined so it gives the child a chance to work on strengthing neck muscles and gaining head control.http://www.adaptivespecialties.com/rifton-corner-sitter.aspx?gclid=CL2XyNeQ0b0CFeJF7AodKjwAOAThese items are not covered by insurance but would make a world of difference in Savanna's life.Anything funds in excess of our goal will be used for other Adaptive Equipment, Therapies, and other items that will help benefit Savanna's quality of life. Thank you for your Support :)
