Disc Golf/Cotter Spring, Cotter Arkansas

Bringing disc golf to North Arkansas Cotter Springs park is the goal of this page. Disc golf is a sport that anyone can play despite their gender, size, age, or creed. The object of disc golf is exactly like ball golf except we use our arm as the club and a disc/frisbee as the ball. The idea is still to get from the tee pad to the pin, which in disc golf is a suspended basket. There are still par 3,4, and 5's just like in ball golf. Disc golf is growing by leaps and bounds..the closest courses are in Harrison and Ava MO both aprox 1 hours drive. Hastings in Mountain Home is selling discs and there isnt even a course here (yet). It's time we get one and I will do everything in my power to see this through. My dear friend Raul Turrieta and I were on a mission to get a course in at the beautiful Cotter Spring. We attended city council meetings, drew course plans and even did a power point presentation together. Even though Raul has passed on tragically I am still fighting for our dream. The first basket, sponsored by Peglar Real Estate Group, going in the ground next week. If you or your business can sponsor a basket you will receive your name on a plague at the tee pad.
