Help 4 Medical, Bills 4 GZM

George and Zachary are my two special little boys. Both of them are intelligent, caring and friendly. They are full of energy and love to run and play together. However, both of them have important health issues and have each been through a lot of difficult times. My oldest son George, who just turned 4 in March, is a special needs' child living with the Aspergers form of Autism on the "Autism Spectrum". Special therapy, therapeutic aids for his sensory issues, and teachers are helping him cope, but the expenses are high; and about to get higher if we can afford a special preschool for children just like Georgie who require special attention, needs, and education. This school is very promising with its success rates and stories other local parents have shared. My youngest son Zachary, who turned 2 on 11-28-13 was born prematurely at 27W1D, and had to spend the first 94 days of his life in the intensive care unit for premature babies at HUP/UPENN, also with MRSA contact precautions; and a tampered medical record as a result of my questioning his MRSA contraction at just 4 days old causing necrosis of his nose and mouth covered up by physicians, nurses, and other hospital staff racking up a bill over $3MILLION; all while he was hooked up to a respirator and other medical equipment as well as enduring painful IV's via his bones and spinal taps at the tiny size of under 2lbs. As a result of his premature birth, Zachary is also partially deaf and he too requires regular and costly therapeutic care, toys, and aides. Aside from the boys' concerns, I have been living with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome and several other chronic health conditions since being diagnosed at the age of 13. Due to the many complications of these conditions, each of my pregnancies were very high-risk. In addition to the costs of George and Zachary's continuing care, my ongoing medical bills are also very high. I take generic versions of all the medicine I need right now. I use coupons for drug stores and shop around for the best prices. Even so, the costs are very high, totaling over $3000-3500/monthly. Medicare Part D only pays for 25.5% of my medication. In addition to all of that, I usually have to pay out of pocket for the numerous visits to my own doctors and specialists. Over half of my life has been spent dealing with more medical issues than I ever imagined I would have had to. Because I have to pay roughly $3500 each month for my medication alone, some months have gone by when I had to choose to pay for food, all of the other things the boys need and general housing expenses instead of purchasing medication for myself. It's very dangerous for all of us when I have to decide to not buy all of my medications so I can keep a roof over our heads and food on the table. A difficult hysterectomy finding a benign tumor larger than the size of a FOOTBALL , its ongoing complications and other unexpected surgeries and medical procedures have each taken a further toll on my health and well-being; as well as the likelihood of ANOTHER MAJOR surgery this May or June, if I can afford it: due to tumors popping up as well as complications from the above detailed hysterectomy; thankfully to date all benign. I was also recently the victim of a bad car accident, rear-ended at a red light by another person who was driving recklessly while under the influence of alcohol. The added stress of being the victim of someone else's poor choices and irresponsibility only makes things worse. My financial situation has become so tight that even keeping the lights and heat on is a great hardship. I am facing a deadline of April 14th, 2014 when the power bill is due. If it goes unpaid, our electricity will be shut off and things will be even worse for us. My family and health are the most important things in my life. I work hard and live frugally. Yet the bills are not easy to keep up with at times and now is one of the times when things are particularly difficult. Please help and donate whatever you can. Zachary, George and I are all very appreciative and thankful!!! I love my little guys and it took A LOT to even reach out for help we hopefully receive. :-/ I know others have it worse, but over $2700 due, IN FULL, to Peco ELECTRIC, by May 4th, 2014; or shutoff without it turned back on, until bill satisfaction is our first and biggest concern, worry. I was able to get a 30 day medical extension at 5:06pm on April 4th, but no more after that. The bill is so high because of the last shutoff adding over $1500 to my outstanding balance at the time. Thank you for your time, Margaret, Zachary and George.
