Summer Abroad in Ghana!

Hey Friends! I was recently accepted into a Summer Abroad program to study at the University of Ghana in Accra. While in Ghana, I will be taking courses in West African Aesthetics and West African Civilization. These courses will contribute to my interests in the African Diaspora, and broaden the scope of my research as it relates to womens' labor economies in West Africa and across the Atlantic. I am very excited about this opportunity, but I need some help to make it happen! Although my school has offered a small financial aid award, I will need help covering the cost of housing and food, immunizations, airline tickets, textbooks etc. Any amount of donations are appreciated!

Upon my return to the U.S. I will have wax print and batik fabrics for sewing gifts in exchange for donations (purses, skirts, anything you like!).
