Widow hopes husband will be the last 'innocent' killed
INDIANAPOLIS -
The pictures on Shana Oh's mantel are of a happy couple. But that was before this weekend.

"I just hope they know what they did," said Oh, choking back tears, speaking about the teens accused of killing her husband Ho Lee.

"Why? Why? What is [it] that we did? Why [do] we have to take this loss and this pain?" asked Oh.

Ho Lee was shot three times in the head on March 30th Sunday as he confronted shop lifters. He was helping the owner of Body Gear, a clothing store on East 38th Street.

"On Sunday, I talked to my husband and the last time I talked to him was at 2:00."

They discussed dinner plans with friends. Thirty minutes later, Ho was shot. An hour after that, Shana's phone rang.

"They called me and say, 'Hey, you need to come down. Something happened'."

She rushed to the scene then frantically drove to the hospital.

"What hurts me the most is that we couldn't try anything to save him," said Oh. Doctors told her that her husband's wounds were not survivable: two bullets were still lodged in his brain.

Ho immigrated to the U.S. from Korea in 2003. He lived with his wife and kids in Noblesville. He was a "good father, good husband and my kids lost a father right now. I do not know how to explain to my kids right now," said Oh.

"As a human, we all make mistakes but this is a mistake that should have never been done. I want them to know they have took my husband and now we have two children without a father. I want to ask them a question: Why?"

Why kill a man who did nothing more than go to work?

"I hope my husband is the sacrifice and hope that this doesn't happen anymore to any innocent people," she said.

Any contribution is greatly appreciated for his lovely two children he left behind.
