My two beautiful grandaughters were born with Foetal Valproate Syndrome which is a rare condition caused by Epilepsy medication. Kirsten is 8 years old and has ADHD and is now showing signs of Autism. Little Ella is now 17 months old and was born with the front of her skull fused together. In September of 2013 she had a surgery lasting 7 hours to have her skull cut open to reshape her head. She was just under 1 years old. Since then all her Medical Appointments are at the Royal Childrens Hospital in Melbourne. So now at least once a month the girls parents must make the 4 hour drive to Melbourne from Albury. This family is finding it very hard to cope finacially, their father has two jobs just to make ends meet. As well as surgery on Ella's skull she also has to wear special splints on her hands and feet to strengthen the muscles to allow her to crawl and so she may eventually be able to walk properly. Both girls will have on-going developmental problems and this is just the beginning for them both. Please if you can help this family in anyway, we would be so appreciative, Thank you.
