Help bring home our first little girl

Below is our story. We are now using our page to help raise funds to purchase fuel cards to help not only us, but as many other NICU parents as we can. As you can see from our story and updates this journey has had many twists and unexpected turns...this brought to light the need for help for us and other parents as well. Please know your donations will be shared to help others even thou this page started as help for our precious baby....we have met so mNy wonderful parents, each with their own precious baby and we wan to help them too.

My husband and I have battled infertility for almost 3 years.  We tried everything, even spent a year seeing an infertility specialist.  Once we had used up all our savings and I had reached the point of complete defeat, we couldnt see the infertility doctor any longer...that was in Aug 2013.  In December 2013 we got a huge surprise.  Somehow after completely giving up we had become pregnant on our own.  We were so excited and grateful.  The first 16 weeks we spent talking about our child and baby showers and how amazing being parents would be.  Then the worst thing happened.  At 16 wks and 5 days my water broke.  The first thing we were told was to terminate our baby girl.  We couldnt.  We are now 20 wks pregnant and still hanging on.  If we can make it to 24 wks our sweet baby has a slim chance to survive.  If we can make it farther her chances get better.  This means I am in the hospital from the day I reach 24 wks until she arrives.  The doctor bills are already piling up, and we are struggling.  Teh best hospital for me to be at is such a long drive from our home that we wont be able to afford gas for my husband to drive out to see me.  Even with him still working every day we will be apart during the week and neither of us wants to be apart, but we dont know what else to do. We are still able to pay our mortgage and utilities, but not the doctors or extra gas money to be together.  I am reaching out for help before we cannot keep ourselves afloat.  My husband works every day, and is always scared to be away in case something happens.  Its such a weight on our shoulders, on top of fighting as hard as we can to save our little girl. We just want to be able to focus on our daughter and be able to bring her home one day.
